After winning the championship trophy at the Vinita Big Dawg Shootout followed by a third place finish in the Lincoln Christian tournament, the Stilwell Lady Indians have climbed to the number-5 ranking in the latest polls in class 4A girls basketball.
Posting a record of 8-and-2, coach Terry Sweeney and the Lady Indians are scheduled to return to the hardwood Tuesday (1/9) at Muldrow and return home to play Sallisaw on Friday followed by a road trip to Roland (1/16) before entering the Old Fort Classic at Fort Gibson (1/18-1/20).
The Stilwell Indians, coached by Michael George are currently ranked 17th in the Class 4A boys rankings having produced a 7-3 record including a runner-up finish in the Vinita tournament and a third place finish in the Lincoln Christian tournament.
