

With a fast start and then staying calm under pressure at the end, the Stilwell
Indians claimed the championship trophy of the 50 th annual Old Fort Classic in Fort
Gibson with a 56-48 win over Inola. After earlier wins over Fort Gibson (57-46) and
Coweta (59-47), the Indians improved their record to 11-4 on the season with the
championship victory.

For their efforts in the tournament, Brayden George and Keller Hitcher earned all-
tournament honors along with Tyrus Teehee, who claimed the MVP award.
The Lady Indians brought home the runner-up trophy following a 52-46 setback to
Fort Gibson after advancing to the championship matchup against the Lady Tigers
on their home floor with victories against Nathan Hale (89-14) and Inola (44-43).
Snowda Watie, who surpassed the 1,000 point scoring mark for her high school
career in the first round win was named to the all-tournament team along with
teammate Prairie Holmes.

The Stilwell girls (12-3) on the season along with the boys team will be back in
action Tuesday night at Checotah.
